Our Practicum course is an interactive experience that will invite and encourage growth. Opportunities are provided for you to coach other students during class with useful and insightful feedback from experienced faculty. This is one of the best ways to practice meaningful and effective coaching that can be valuable and memorable to both you and your clients.
Students are also encouraged to share their successes and challenges from their coaching experience. Faculty will provide guidance, support, and encouragement as well as specific examples and advice from their own professional experience.

The course covers 1-1 coaching, group coaching, and creating workshops and classes.
Course Information
Location: 8 weekly 2-hour video conference classes. Login from your computer/tablet or call in from anywhere. Faculty: To Be Determined. Approval Information: 15 nurse contact hours*, 15 ICF contact hours as part of Level 1 program**, 15 NBHWC coach training hours.***

April 02 (evening group) or April 03 (morning group)
July 10 (evening group) or July 11 (morning group)
Space is limited. Due to the nature of this course, enrollment is capped at 12 students per group. Reserve your spot early.
Learning Outcome: 100% of participants will be able to demonstrate an integral coaching session by the end of this course.
Program requirements: Students must be 18 years of age or older to register. Classes are offered in English.
Completion Requirements: Attend and participate in all classes (or submit make-up work for up to 2.5 hours of missed class), submit a recorded coaching session for a final pass/fail grade, and submit a final course evaluation.

*This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the American Holistic Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Approval #1784.
Approval for contact hours through the American Holistic Nurses Association is based on an assessment of the educational merit of this program and does not constitute endorsement of the use of any specific modality in the care of clients.
**The Practicum course is a portion of our International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level 1 program. The Level 1 program includes Advanced Tools (15 ICF contact hours), 30-hour Core Competency (30 ICF contact hours), and Mentor Coaching (10 hours). ***The Practicum course is a portion of our Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). The Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program also includes Advanced Tools (15 NBHWC coach training hours), 30-hour Core Competency (30 NBHWC coach training hours), and Healthy Lifestyle Basics (15 NBHWC coach training hours).
