Frequently asked questions.
How do I obtain certification when I complete the program?
Our team can help you navigate the certification requirements for the International Coaching Federation (ICF), National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), or American Holistic Credentialing Corporation (AHNCC). You can hop on a call with one of our Course Information Specialists or join one of our quarterly live Q&A calls to answer specific questions about certification. Always check the credentialing organization’s website for updated requirements.
Do you offer payment plans?
We offer Pay-in-Full and six-month payment plans. If you need more flexibility or want to talk about other payment plan options, please get in touch with our Course Information Specialist for help. We also offer special Early Bird pricing, which gives a deep discount and special bonuses for those who register early.

How do I know if this program is right for me?
Are you looking to become a coach? Do you feel you would like to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives? Do you find that our daily conversations feel flat, and you believe there is so much more value and potential left unexplored? Does what you’ve read so far resonate with you? If the answer is YES, we think you will LOVE this program. If you are still unsure, we invite you to join a live Coaching In Action call where one of the attendees receives a coaching session from Dr. Linda Bark or another of our amazing Coaches!
How Long does it take to complete the program?
Most students complete the full Mastery Program in 7-9 months. You will start coaching real clients within the first few weeks of the program. The Core Competency course is nine weeks and takes about 2-3 months to complete. Advanced Tools and Practicum are each 8 weeks long and taken consecutively after the Core Competency course will take 4-6 months. There may be a break of one or more weeks between courses, depending on the session and holidays that fall during that cohort. You can view the Programs page for specific course dates. Students have 60 days to complete the Healthy Lifestyle Basics and start when they choose.
Does WIsdom of the Whole Offer Certification?
Yes! Upon successful completion of the Core Competency course, students are eligible to take the Wisdom of the Whole Certification exam. Students must provide a recording of a coaching session for review and complete a multiple choice exam. Both must be passes in order to receive the credential of Wisdom of the Whole Certified Coach. Please note that this is not a nationally recognized certification. Students who attend the full Mastery Program will automatically be eligible to take the exam. Email us for more details.
What is the Time Commitment for the training prograM?
Wisdom of the Whole is designed for busy people. People who work full time, are in school, are parents, or have busy lives. Courses are offered in evenings and morning hours when people can take time out of their busy day. We recommend about 4 hours per week to complete homework for Core Competency and 2-4 hours per week to complete homework for Advanced Tools and Practicum. In some instances coaching practice outside of class can be counted towards your certification eligibility requirements.
What support is offered throughout the course?
Soon after registration, you’ll receive a personalized welcome email from one of our team members with what you can expect next. Many of our team members and faculty have been with Wisdom of the Whole for over 5 years and can easily answer any questions you have. During the courses, you get 3 one-on-one sessions with your faculty to review coaching skills, upgrades, and answer your questions. Students who take the full Mastery Program also receive additional 3 one-to-one hours in their Mentoring course. Many students find that connecting with their fellow students is another form of support. Regardless of when you start or graduate, we are happy to hear from you and assist whenever we can.
What are some of the unexpected benefits of the Wisdom of the Whole Coach training program?
Many students have shared that they experience a personal transformation as they progress through the course. You will not only learn to be a skilled and effective coach with your many opportunities to practice coaching others, but you may also experience increased personal relationships because of the skills you learn. Besides social media platforms, we have a quarterly newsletter specifically for our graduates and current students with content aimed at providing through-provoking coaching concepts and information our graduates need to know. We hold private alumni events, like our Alumni calls that feature new coaching topics, latest research in coaching, or we just gather to connect. All new students receive immediate access to our private Alumni portal and all of the benefits it offers, like recordings of past Alumni Calls, member directories, and so much more!
