Module 02 - Advanced Tools

Eight weeks of live, interactive Zoom sessions — two hours each. Explore powerful questioning, accountability frameworks, somatic awareness, imagery, and how to work with a patient's or team member's sense of purpose and values to catalyze real change.

Module 03 - Practicum

A final two-day in-person intensive focused on applied practice and peer coaching, followed by four weeks of guided practice to demonstrate your growth and complete your training towards nurse coach certification with AHNCC.

Nurse Coach Graduate Successes

  • Efficiency and Work-life Balance

A Nurse Manager made one simple change: when staff brought challenges, she asked: "What do you want to do about it?"

    Meetings shortened from 60 → 30 minutes

Staff felt trusted, empowered to act

She no longer stayed late or took work home

    Team productivity increased

Core issues were identified and changed

  • Stress Reduction

An ER nurse added two coaching questions to every patient visit:

"Where would you like to be by end of this visit?" and

"How can you help get yourself there?"

    • Her stress level dropped from 9 → 5 on a 10-point scale.

    • No change in workload.

    • The shift was an interactive empowerment and collaboration with her patient.

  • “I stopped crying every day”

This new nurse coach met with her coach twice a month for 6 months and felt truly heard for the first time. Through powerful questions and honest feedback, she uncovered limiting patterns, recognized strengths, and built the confidence to move forward differently. The shift wasn’t just her thinking—it was how she experienced her work and herself. “I stopped crying every day after I got my coach.”

  • From uncooperative to calm through deep listening

He took the most difficult patient in the unit that no one else wanted. The Nurse Coach listened. The patient felt heard, shared her goal for hospice, and immediately became calm and cooperative. Other nurses watched the hardest patient turn into the easiest patient in 3 hours. Better listening spread.
