Coach from a holistic/integral perspective as a Wisdom of the Whole® Coach

This course lays the groundwork based on evidence-informed practice and theory while illuminating the heart of coaching. It provides skill training and practice from a holistic/integral perspective for the Core coaching competencies from the International Coach Federation. We adhere to a form of coaching that honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole.

Topics Covered in This Course

This program will help you build a foundation and develop your core coaching competencies:

  • Setting the Foundation: ethical guidelines and professional standards, setting coaching agreements

  • Co-creating the Relationship: establishing trust and intimacy, coaching presence

  • Communicating Effectively: active listening, powerful questions, direct communication

  • Creating New Awareness: identifying and making mental shifts in awareness, uncovering unexpressed motivations, and empowering clients to change their story.

  • Facilitating Learning and Results: creating awareness, designing actions, planning and goal setting, managing progress and accountability

  • Stages and maps of change

  • Mind, body, spirit coaching principles

  • Motivational Interviewing and Appreciative Inquiry

Location: Video Conferencing Teleclasses — Login from your computer/tablet or call in from anywhere. Faculty: To Be Determined. Approval Information: 30 nurse contact hours*, 30 ICF contact hours as part of Level 1 program**, 30 NBHWC coach training hours.*** Registration timeframe: Registration closes one week before the class start date.

Learning Outcome: 100% of participants will be able to demonstrate an integral coaching session by the end of this course.

Program requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older to register. Classes are offered in English.

** The 30-Hour Core Competency course is a portion of our International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level 1 program. The Level 1 program includes Advanced Tools (15 ICF contact hours), Practicum (15 ICF contact hours), and Mentor Coaching (10 hours). ***The 30-hour Core Competency course is a portion of our Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). The Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program also includes Advanced Tools (15 NBHWC coach training hours), Practicum (15 NBHWC coach training hours), and Healthy Lifestyle Basics (15 NBHWC coach training hours).
